I have spent the last 30 years working as a financial adviser, initially in the banking sector and for the last 10 years within a well renowned regional firm of Solicitors.

Whilst working in the banking world, I gained experience helping clients with their Investment, Pensions and Inheritance Tax issues. Whilst continuing to deal with personal finances during my time at the Solicitors, I provided financial advice to Court of Protection Deputies, trustees of Personal Injury trusts and Charitable Trusts.

My goal for some years has been to open my own Financial Planning Practise and with the support of my clients, I finally plucked up the courage to set up Thatcher Financial Planning Limited. I am extremely grateful for the continued support of my clients which has allowed the business to flourish.

It was also vital to have the support of an award winning Financial Services Company to help me and my clients navigate the complex world of modern financial planning and after looking at several candidates, I chose Vision IFP as my partner.

Whilst it is important to embrace the modern world in which financial advisers operate and communicate with their clients, I also firmly believe that “old school” face to face meetings are a fantastic way to forge long term relationships and allow me to understand my clients or their families needs, not only now, but long into the future. This also applies to Trustees and Deputies where additional layers of complexity can exist. Therefore, I will not only help you create a financial plan, but work with you along the way to ensure you achieve your goals.
